Gorolski Święto

Since 1948, within the international Beskydy Culture Week, in Jablunkov the first weekend in August is held a popular and frequently visited regional folk festival Gorolski Święto. Translated as "the mountainy festival" offers its visitors, in a natural amphitheater Forest City, International Folklore meeting and a wide range of events. With its atmosphere this festival became known in the Czech Republic, Poland and the Slovak Republic, but also in many European countries. The local festival has something to offer for gourmet. In more than twenty wooden cottages you can taste the local specialties.

Festival na Pomezí

In neighboring Dolni Lomná is held regularly in July, in a beautiful amphitheater Matice Slezské Festival on the Border, which offers its visitors to listening to folk and country music. Date of event is always the second weekend in July.

Silesian days

In September always second weekend, you can visit the ethnographic Silesian Days festival, which takes place also in area of Matice Slezske in the center of Dolni Lomna. The International Folklore Festival over the years became a major cultural event of Matice Slezske. The representing performers are from Silesia, Moravia and Bohemia, not missing groups of ethnic minorities living in our country and abroad groups . The event is rich for supply of food and drink

Jablunkov markets

Relatively recent tradition, of the city Jablunkov became Jablunkov fair, which takes place in early July on Day of St. Margaret. This event is associated with a number of fair attractions, such as demonstrations of old crafts, stalls with products of master potters, wood carvers and many other items, traditional meals, theater performances and rich cultural programme. Conclusion of marketplace culminates on Sunday, when a concert of outstanding personalities of our music scene is held in the evening, in natural amphitheater City forest.
